King Charles III coronation printable activities KS1
<p>May 2023 sees the coronation of King Charles III - an exciting part of British and Commonwealth history. Plan some fun activities to help your KS1 class celebrate this special occasion with this pack of coronation printables.</p>
<p>This King Charles coronation pack includes:</p>
<p><strong>Make a crown</strong><br />
4 crown designs to either print landscape on A4 coloured card or on white card (for children to colour).</p>
<p><strong>Make a Union Jack flag</strong><br />
There are several options for this:</p>
<ul>
<li>Colour the flag, cut it out, fold it in half, and glue.</li>
<li>As above but with grey letters to indicate which colour children should use for each part.</li>
<li>Full-colour version - 2 to a page</li>
<li>Full-colour version - 4 to a page (mini flags).</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>If I were a king/queen writing activity</strong><br />
Children draw/colour a face on their king/queen picture (there are 9 designs). They can then use the lined page to respond to the prompt.</p>

<p><strong>Coronation word search</strong><br />
A simple word search with 8 coronation-themed words (2 similar versions). Answers included.</p>
<p><strong>The British National Anthem lyrics</strong><br />
Pages with 2 verses and with just the first verse are included.<br />
You can listen to the National Anthem with 2 verses on YouTube before having a go at singing it yourselves.</p>
