In this activity, students will classify angles (graphic and numerical representations) as obtuse, acute, straight, or right. Then, they will color a pattern according to their answers to reveal a beautiful, colorful mandala!
This no-prep activity is an excellent resource for sub plans, enrichment/reinforcement, early finishers, and extra practice with some fun. It is especially useful for end-of-year practice, spiral review, and motivated practice when students are exhausted from standardized testing or mentally “checked out” before a long break (hello summer!). Color motivates even the most challenging students and the students get a fun chance to practice their essential geometry skills. In addition, the finished products make fabulous classroom decor!
Double sided number formation wordmat- using numberling songs made famous by the Cbeebies- Numberblock episodes.
Perfect for developing number formation in line with the NCETM programme.
With this activity, students will practice multiplying fractions (proper and improper with some cross cancellation) as they color! Once they put their answers in simplest form, they color the part of the picture with their answer according to the indicated color to reveal a beautiful, colorful mandala. Not only is coloring a great way to motivate students, but the final products also make fabulous classroom decor! This activity is excellent for sub plans, enrichment, extra practice, early finishers, or just plain fun!

Bubble writing - cursive word bank
Like many primary school teachers I have tried a variety of handwriting schemes with varying degrees of success. Having thought through many common problems with handwriting I have developed a simple scaffold that places a bubble either side of the line to support letter formation. This simple scaffold provides a guide to consistently form cursive letters and ensure each letter is uniform in both height and width. Children are able to leave equal spaces between words and see clearly whether or not there is enough space at the end of each line for the next word they intend to write. There has been a huge impact within my class in a very short space of time and I hope you will see similar benefits within your own setting.
Included is a PowerPoint presentation including all numbers to a million in written form.
It is suggested that this resource is used alongside the full pack for the relevant Key Stage available from my TES store.
A simple starter for an able group or a class worksheet for those just learning the topic of square numbers.
It's no the prettiest worksheet but it has all the info.
Enjoy.
A worksheet that was originally created for a low ability year 7 set, but could be used for key stage 2 pupils learning about negative numbers for the first time.
Lovely end-of-year maths lesson.
Numbers 1-21 table to be printed, then cut out the answers from the second slide, pupils will need to research or guess where each statement goes.
As the title suggests, this is a colouring sheet for practising adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with negative numbers. Unlike other maths colouring sheets, each sheet only requires four different colours and therefore requires fewer teacher supplies. Students answer the questions and colour based on their solution. This then creates a pattern which looks great on a classroom wall. The solution is the pattern displayed.
