An engaging and detailed staff CPD session on explicit vocabulary instruction - this lasts between one hour and 90 minutes depending on whether departments are given time at the end to consider their tier 2 and tier 3 vocabulary words.
I delivered this in my role as Literacy Coordinator and was told by the headteacher that it was the best internal CPD that he had seen delivered.

Qu’est-ce qu’on peut faire pour protéger l’environnement ?
Resources to use in any lesson on the environment for GCSE. There is a range of activities including key vocabulary match up, translation both ways, reading comprehension and a ‘vocabulary hunt’.
Pupils can use these resources to model their own answers on ‘qu’est-ce que tu fais pour protéger l’environnement’ and the resources include lots of higher vocabulary and complex structures for them to recycle in their own work.

They would also be great for teachers to use as an audit of vocabulary of their current schemes of work to see what might need to be tweaked for the new GCSE.
