Social Skills for Autism Workbook

(3)
The resource is designed for young people, aged 12+, who have social and communication related difficulties. It may benefit those with Autism or Neurodiversities but will also suit a range of learners who find social interaction, relationships, communication and independence more difficult for any reason. The workbook is packed full with 50 pages of activities that are designed to be used in the classroom or at home. This workbook can be used as a programme of work on social skills for learners who wish to develop these skills. It’s important for the teacher or adult working with the learner to check each activity for suitability for their individual student and that the programme is suitable for the individual. The topics covered include: Knowing Yourself, Relationships, Emotions, Independence and Social Scenarios. The booklet is in read-only PDF format. It can be used with compatible text-to-speech software and coloured backgrounds have been used on most pages so that the booklet is dyslexia-friendly.

Visual Calendar Worksheets for Students with Autism or Special Education!

(1)
Calendar tasks for children with autism or special needs sometimes need to be adapted. These students may benefit from work that is more hands on and visual. These materials could be used to make a modified circle time/morning time binder for your student to work on during calendar activities. Many of these activities are accessible by students who are nonverbal or with low level writing abilities. This packet includes 3 visual worksheets! You can laminate these and use daily with a dry erase marker or make worksheets! No writing required! Perfect for your students who are lower functioning or struggle with writing. One sheet works on calendar skills such as date, month, and daily specials. The next page works on weather including temperature, season, and appropriate clothing choices! The last sheet works on question answering and emotions! These work perfectly in daily morning work!

Season TEACCH Bundle - Independent Autism and SEND Activities

4 Resources
Save 25% with this Seasonal Bundle. Activities and tasks for your pupils with Autism! Includes early reading, writing and maths activities to help achieve those early targets and build on working independently! These are the individual resources included: Spring TEACCH Tasks £3 Summer TEACCH Tasks £3 Autumn TEACCH Tasks £3 Winter TEACCH Tasks £3 When using TEACCH tasks the task that is to be completed should be placed on the left hand side of the desk/workstation. The pupil then completes this task and places it on the right when completed. Having a clear visual for the pupil to identify where the finished tasks go is preferable. This clear structure allows the pupils to focus on the task they are completing and not be distracted by the work process. It is important to remember that when completing these tasks it is also about creating and building independence as well as success at the task, this is why the consistent work approach (working from left to right is so important) When using these tasks I would recommend using them for at least 4-6 weeks. For some children it may take up to a term for them to master the skill and be able to complete this independently.

Attention Autism Pocket Guide

A little pocket guide for finding your way around Attention Autism for beginners. Attention Autism is an intervention created by Gina Davies with the idea to support children on the Autistic spectrum focus and maintain attention. This is a little pocket guide I originally created for a friend of mine with information that I found online and collated together. It has some of the aims and rules of Attention Autism and also some great ideas for Stage 2 and 3. A handy guide to have. Originally this guide was printed A5, laminated and bound with a key ring.
