<p>During the current lock down we understand it is hard for teachers and parents to have activities for the non-curricular subjects. <p>This popular resource provides enough activities for a half term when used once a week. <p>This unit of work is a mental maths focus for year 5. In each activity there is an explanation of that concept in maths, then the child will complete some questions, moving up to problems at the end of the activity. There are ten activities in total so there is enough material for a term when used once a week.</p>

<p>A booklet filled with information sheets, revision tasks, exam questions and exemplar answers. An excellent long-term revision aid for students, this has been designed to be completed by students independently.</p>

<p>This unit of work contains 5 tests and five sets of answers. There are 25 questions in each test.</p> <p>Each test builds on the knowledge from the test before so the assessment is a scaffolded approach.</p> <p>For example there may be a question on algebra and on the next test the question will be similar with a different slant. Therefore you can track when a student has gained a solid understanding of the concept. This repetition and with the teacher’s input in explaining the reasoning means the pupil can see their marks improve throughout the assessments.</p>
