Money is part of all our lives. Whether we’re rich or poor; a saver or a spender; a tight wad or a sharer, it’s always on our minds. But if you learn to control money, it won’t take control of you. My Money is a great project aimed at getting finance education into every primary and secondary school. It was run by the Personal Finance Education Group charity (pfeg) with EdComs, National Children’s Bureau (NCB) and the PSHE Association. This guide provides lots of helpful information about money management and how to approach it with your classes.

This resource is an interactive ICT worksheet designed to follow the new AQA Unit 11 Personal Economics course. It uses information from the Nelson Thornes textbook, Anderton GCSE textbook, tutor 2 you, the Times 100 and pfeg resorces. The aim is to allow students to explore the different methods of paying for staff, to identify the key features of a pay slip and why different businesses pay how they do. It ends with two of quizes to cement understanding. It will probably take two lessons and studnets can build Excel spreadsheets for the case study answers

This has been created by me for group use. The idea would be to divide the class into groups. Each group would be given a topic enlarged onto an A3 piece of paper. They would also have a blank piece of paper. They need to interpret the information and turn it into a presentation for the rest of the class that lasts about 3 minutes. Whilst a group presents, the others produce a small mind map of the important information. At the end they should create a 'Brand Spanking New Box&' and fill it with a few things that they have learnt.

Values, Money and Me uses the characters and settings of the Pride Place Community. Through their lives and dilemmas we explore their experiences around money and how they feel and react to it. The resource helps children to explore the world of money within the context of personal and ethical values. Children will begin to appreciate the, sometimes complex, emotional and moral dilemmas that we all face in relation to money.

The Rock Enrol interactive lesson framework is not subject specific. However, it is particularly useful for supporting PSHE, the Citizenship curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and at post 16. The resources are aimed at inspiring young people to discuss what they care about and why they should register to vote. Rock Enrol includes: a lesson outline, engaging activities, suggestions for extensions and reasons to register to vote, and a Q&A document. The lesson framework was co-created by the Cabinet Office and young people at Bite the Ballot, a youth led organisation.

These are a few resources I used for the Employability Award (Level 1) I delivered this year. It's a bit all over the place I&'m afraid as I have most of it hard copy at home so never really used it. The booklets, learning aims/objectives and marking criterias are all from the OCR website.
