I used this when I was giving a session to Year 11 before their GCSE exams to help them to deal with their stress. Also did breathing exercises. It went down really well.

This is a lesson about the Night of Power.<br />
It includes a Powerpoint, video clip, starter activity, quotations and exam question (taken from the specimen Edexcel paper for Islam: Living the Muslim Life unit).
I started my assembly with a student reading a speech that she had written in the 'I have a dream' style. Her speech was about equality for all, with specific refernce to LGBT.
Another student read the story of Doug Faulkner.

When I mark their assessment I highlight the relevant statement on the feed forward sheet and they then act upon the comments to improve their work by referring to the mark scheme.<br />
Relevant religious quotations are also included on the mark scheme.
