Used this during a space topic for 1 child who struggles not to shout out during carpet time. The astronaut was moved up and down the rocket according to the child's behaviour. When the astronaut reaches the star, you can reward the child as you see fit.

Can be used for 1:1, small group and whole class phonics teaching. Just flick through the pages rather than handling a stack of flash cards. <br />
The children in my class thoroughly enjoyed this activity! Children get allocated a picture page and given a copy of the leaf writing frame (printed on green card) to place over the image. They write clues to describe their mini-beast (no. of legs, wings, colour, etc.) so others can guess and life the flap to find out of they were right. A fantastic addition to your interactive displays or your class bookcase.
