Managing risk in new situations

I have created this PSHE based powerpoint and resources (worksheets are at the end of the powerpoint) for year 11 students, but it could be used with year 10 or KS5 students.

It covers events such as going to a festival, going on holiday, commuting, moving home to uni and getting home from a night out. There is also a section on binge drinking and its effects on our ability to make safe decisions.

The lesson links to the PSHE Association suggested Scheme of Work Planning Toolkit for key stages 3 and 4.

This assembly gives a brief overview of the some of the previous posters for the olympics then shows the pupils the current London 2012 posters. The end slide is where I showed the whole school a selection of the artwork created this school year. You could possibliy speak to your art department to arrange this as the pupils and staff really enjoyed this element! You will need the notes section of the screen enabled on powerpoint as I have provided the commentary for you in this area.
