The book “Why We Kneel, How We Rise” by Michael Holding examines racism in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. He discusses his interactions with several prominent sports figures. Black accomplishment and how we advance. Holding talks about the revisionist history that has been used to uphold the illusion of white supremacy. He cites instances of Black people who have significantly advanced science and knowledge but who have been erased from history.

A timeline was made using this book as the inspiration.
