This is a quiz I put together every year, for use on the last day of term before the Christmas holidays. I use it in lessons with all year groups, but a colleague of mine uses over 2 tutorial/registration periods with her Year 13s and it works equally well. The 'joker round&' element can easily be removed and the answers to each round are at the end. The kids really enjoy this every year.

This is a quiz I devised to use with pupils on the last lesson of term. The answers for each round are on the slides at the end of the powerpoint. The music clips for the music round are attached. For the music round, two points should be awarded for each clip; 1 point for a correct artist, 1 point for a correct song title. This way the 9 rounds total 100 points.

All answers correct at time of upload. A random collection of quiz questions I have used with various form/age groups at different times. For the first few rounds, I allowed them 20 minutes to research and revise the topic before asking the questions. I did not do this with the General Knowledge questions.

After studying 'Maggot Moon' with my Year 8 pupils, they were asked to research and devise a list of recommended reads that were based on similar themes to what what we studied. This is what they came up with.
