A lesson Powerpoint introducing Halloween vocabulary to add to a poem using prepositions.
Pupils study / revise the prepositions and rooms in a house and create a poem based around the structure " Dans … il y a …, sur … il y a …" etc.

The prepositions are revised and two examples given.

Great opportunity to practice dictionary skills and revise articles.

A series of 7 Photo card prompts with teacher PowerPoint, to encourage pupils to respond to a visual stimulus. The cards are based around themes introduced in KS3 and the 5 prompts on the cards are there to elicit answers, hopefully extended ones eventually, to describe what the pupils can see.
The cards cover the themes of family, pets, home, town, sport, music and food and drink.
The prompts invite the pupils to say what they see, what is in the foreground, the background, how the people in the photo seem to be feeling and what they might be doing.
The cards can be used as a starter or a plenary activity. This then might lead onto a discussion of there own personal information.
It could also be used as a Pair work / group work activity.
