Excellent for practising inference, creative writing or introducing P.E.E/S.Q.I.<br /> Descriptions include:<br /> Roald Dahl<br /> Harry Potter<br /> 19th century extracts such as A Christmas Carol, Oliver and Great Expectations.</p>

<p>A revision lesson (can also be used as an introductory or practise lesson) on question 2, paper 2 of the AQA Language Paper. Sources included as well as a model paragraph and strategy to approach the summary question generally.</p>

<p>A lesson for GCSE AQA students studying the Power and Conflict cluster of the anthology. This lesson begins with a teacher led exploration of the stanza which then develops into group work and individual annotations with questions to consider for support.</p>

<p>A series of 12 step by step lessons to introduce/revise paper one of the AQA Language specification. Includes an engaging range of texts including Pigeon English, The Loney, In Darkness, The Girl on the Train and The Manhunt poem. There are also some section B opportunities to break up section A- using semantic fields and extended metaphor to create more sophisticated character descriptions. Strategies for teaching are varied and easily differentiated. Opportunities for peer and self assessment on language analysis and structural analysis. All lessons are my own written from scratch, some resources have been magpied and adapted.</p>

A narrative writing scheme of work with focus on narrative hooks, punctuating dialogue, creating character and describing setting. Initial reading based on Lamb to the Slaughter. Includes speaking and listening/drama activities. All ppts are whole lessons with step by step activities- literally pick up and teach!
