This is a full scheme of work that I created for the New AQA Lit Spec - Romeo and Juliet. It includes the medium term plan, with individual lessons. Independent learning resources, such as a PLC, Concept Map and Homework and powerpoints of whole lessons for key scenes.
This project was used at my school for Year 7 in the first term but would be suitable for weaker students in Year 8 and 9 or equally, Year 5/6 students as it is differentiated. It gets students to imagine that they are stranded on an Island and then have to use their imaginations to create their own Islands and creatures! <br />

This is a resource I created for my Year 8s on Gothic Horror. There are 14+ lessons covering: skills based writing, comprehension, reading, creative writing. Each lesson is fully resourced (Resources are on the pp slides) and differentiated. <br />

There are 18 lessons, including resources. Lessons are differentiation and divide the novel into reading sections. There are also assessments included with sentence starters, challenge and support materials throughout. <br />

I have also attached my homework menu - this is a menu with six different tasks and students pick 3 to do. This gives them choice and independence over their homework.

This is a series of A3 revision posters for questions 2, 3, 4 and 5 for BOTH language papers 1 and 2.</p>

The scheme covers aspects such as: themes, character, context, language, analysis of key scenes, creative writing and drama activities.
This is a full scheme that I created for an enrichment project in Year 9. <br />

It is based on Dragons' Den with a mixture of the pitch. It covers creative writing, product design, marketing, packaging, slogans, branding and logos etc. There are around 17 lessons which end in students designing and then pitching their products to the rest of the class or Dragons.
This is a full scheme of work for the novel, Stone Cold. <br />
There are at least 16 clearly planned and differentiated lessons, with marking points, resources and a homework menu to match. At the end of each lesson, there are the resources to match the lesson, on powerpoint ready to be printed. There are also assessment points and then marking stamps to match. <br />
The lessons are sequential, written with exercises whilst you read the novel. <br />
The homework is in the style of a menu where there are six tasks to chose from and students need to complete 3. 3 of these tasks are challenge tasks, to add differentiation.

<p>It is on powerpoint with all the resources included at the end of each slide (where applicable).</p>
<p>Each lesson is clearly structured with a variety of tasks, set reading, self and peer assessment and summative assessment points.</p>
<p>I currently teach it to Year 8 but have used it with both year 7 and 9.</p>
This is a full scheme of learning based on Willy Russell's Blood Brothers. It covers key areas such as: social/historical context, family, relationships, morality, education and women within the play. The resources for each lesson are included at the end of each powerpoint.
<p>This is a full unit of work created specifically for SATs focusing on reading comprehension skills.<br />
There are 10 lessons including resources, worksheets, powerpoints and a lesson by lesson overview. Each 2 lessons covers a similar activity and all lessons are within the theme of ‘The Reading Detectives’ under 'Researchers / Volcanic Eruptions / Environment / Floods / Earthquakes.</p>

Lesson 7- The Earth’s Layers - Text on the Earth’s surface. Pupils discuss and analyse the presentation of the text including colours: image: font: content and layout.<br />
Lesson 8 - The Earth’s Layers - Pupils create their own mini SATs style paper using the worksheet including: True/false, Retrieve, Interpret, Summary and Choice style questions.<br />
Lesson 9 - 4 Posters on Polar Bears - Group work lesson and discussion on the features presented within their posters. Rotate sheets and then engage in discussion using challenge, compliment and suggest mini cards.<br />
Lesson 10 - Profile on the polar bear with extended ideas to develop discussion and interpretation skills. Then pupils analyse the text using the staged circle technique on the image.</p>
