Various worksheets to aid pupils in their understanding of Animal Farm. All based on the knowledge that they have read the novel. Exam questions following Edexcel exam style.
This is a scheme I did with a low ability Year 8 group. We worked from booklets with each of the stories listed in it and the boys LOVED writing their own gothic stories :)

This is a Powerpoint and booklet are created for the lead up to an assessment piece.
Pupils will be answering the question: Explore how Dickens uses the Cratchit family to show the struggles of the poor.

This is a study aid I created to work through alongside the novel. It has 8 practice questions at the back of the booklet directly linked to EdExcel Understanding Prose exam. It is with a lower ability group in mind but could be easily adapted. Differentiation in terms of 'Higher Level Questions' throughout.
A booklet for low ability GCSE pupils. Some activities, information and context to use when starting the novel. (page 2 I downloaded from TES and edited)
A resource pack based around an old AQA style question for 'The Crucible' This gives key quotes for important moments in the play revolving around Proctor and what happens to him. The resource is made for a high achieving Year 9 group.
I would really appreciate feedback on this resource if you download it.
This is a booklet I created for lower ability Year 11 pupils. It takes you through most of the novel, looking at character and themes in preparation for the Edexcel Understanding Prose examination. There are past exam questions at the back of the booklet too.
I would really appreciate some feedback from those that use this resource. Thanks!
I made this with lower ability pupils in mind. This was to serve as a study aid alongside reading the novel as well as a revision pack when they come to it after the Easter break. It is made with EdExcel Understanding Prose exam in mind so focuses on characters and themes.
A short murder mystery task that will hopefully keep pupils attention. It has a focus on language and word choices and is leading towards a descriptive piece of writing. The focus is on attention to detail and the importance of word choices. I taught this as a SoW last year and have now condensed it into a booklet form.
I teach all boys and they constantly ask what are the most important things to remember for the exam. I have given them this checklist to guide their revision.
