<p>A picture dictionary with definitions of all tricky words in the book. This goes through each of the chapters and summarises the key words from each chapter. Where appropriate, there are images to accompany the words.<br /> This resource is perfect for pre-teaching or as a support resource for struggling readers. I have also used it whole-class in reading sessions.<br /> Please leave feedback.</p>

<p>This is my cover letter used to apply for a KS2 teaching job with an English TLR attached. It details examples of leading English and arts and my impact. It may be useful for others applying for similar roles - I got the job.</p>

<p>This is a model letter that I wrote as Olive to her mother based on their evacuation. Includes key Y6 sentence structures. There are also some reading comprehension questions included identifying how language contributes to meaning.</p>

<p>Excel spreadsheet ready for 2016 reading test input. Colour coded cells make it easy to identify questions that have scored 0 marks, full marks or some of the available marks.</p>

<p>Pupils need to identify the missing letters in the words. The missing letters spell out an Easter joke (answers included). The words recap ible/able, -ough, -tious, silent letters, superlatives, verb endings, /shun/ sound and homophones as well as some spellings from the Y5/6 spelling list.</p>

<p>I made these after compiling lots of great ideas from different resources. Print and laminate them. The 1st 2 pages stay whole - laminate these together back-to-back. The other pages need laminating and cutting. Children use velcro to attach the cards each morning to show what day it is, what the weather is like, how they are feeling, what they have eaten for breakfast and what they will eat for lunch. These can be edited to suit your school’s lunch menu.</p>

<p>Suited to a lower ability Y6 group or a Y5 class. Similar idea to Articulate. 1 child has all of the cards, they say the words not underlined and the children need to guess what the underlined word would be. We played this in 2 teams as a whole class to start with and then broke off into smaller groups with 1 child leading each group.</p>

<p>Children need to solve the arithmetic questions attached to each letter. When they spell the letters out, it will read an Easter joke. Skills include multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, decimals, multiplying and dividing by multiples of 10, multiplying by 0, fraction addition (same denominator), fraction subtraction (same denominator) and BIDMAS.</p>
