I am using this for my Yr12 to check their knowledge of Media Language theory and terminology that we have been looking at this half term.

This is an activity to get students to use the media language knowledge that they have been learning. It requires them to analyse an advert and consider why choices have been made about camera work and sound. This could be used towards the beginning of the New A Level Media spec or later on as a revision task.

This is a media language test with 11 questions to test knowledge of the key elements covering, for example: genre, narrative and signs. There is a ppt with the answers. I use this with Year 12s, after we have covered the topic of media language in class to test the learning.
