Dans Ma Ville

A short text on the topic of town intended to be used as a 'running' dictation. (Year 8 students work in groups. Text is placed outside of classroom and one person per group leaves at a time and tries to memorise the text to dictate to their team mates.) Each group must then translate the text.

Daily Routine Mystery

(7)
I created this after seeing something similar on TES that didn't quite fit my topic. I have used this as an end of topic lesson with my Year 8 students who have been studying daily routine. The clues can be given all at once or one at a time. You could also add an element of competition by pitting groups of pupils against each other. Please comment if you plan to use this resource. Thanks.

Make your own weather forecast

(1)
My Year 7s have been learning the weather phrases for the last few lessons. This activity (over 2 lessons) gives them the opportunity to create their own weather forecast and evaluate each others' performance. I have used a video to get their interest at the start and then given them a find the French activity on which they can base their own text. I found the Dumping Ground quiz (thank you JC Chung) on TES and have re-used as a plenary.
