<p>A collection of 6 different Christmas activities which can either be used individually or grouped together.<br /> The pack contains:</p> <ul> <li>A Powerpoint, which contains a Christmas themed Quiz, a missing vowels round and a ‘Spot the language’ round. All with answers. The Powerpoint also has the answers to 2 of the other activities as well.</li> <li>A Christmas themed acrostic puzzle. Students will need to use the symbols of elements in the Periodic Table to find the Christmas words and to work out the Christmas message. Clues, answer grid and answers all included.</li> <li>A Christmas Traditions Quiz (answers included the Powerpoint)</li> <li>A Christmas wordsearch (answers also included in the Powerpoint)</li> </ul>

<p>My students love doing these acrostic puzzles. They can be used for:</p> <ul> <li>Consolidating the topic key terms</li> <li>Revision for end of topic tests (or Paper 1 exams)</li> <li>Home-learning activities</li> <li>Improving literacy</li> </ul> <p>The questions and answers are based on the AQA GCSE Biology specification, although they can also be used for the Trilogy (double award) too as the ‘Biology only’ questions are in italics. This acrostic puzzle is suitable for both foundation and higher tiers.</p> <p>To complete the puzzle the students will need to work out the answer to each numbered (horizontal) clue and write it on the answer sheet. Each box space represents one letter so the students can also work out how long each word is.<br /> When they have work our the numbered clues the column in bold on the answer sheet will also spell a question which the students can find the answer too.</p> <p>This pack contains the question sheet (clues), the student puzzle sheet (for their answers and also a completed answer sheet for teachers.</p>
