This resource includes a full 53 slide PowerPoint that covers all of the key areas needed for teaching the new Eduqas GCSE Film Studies film text ‘Dracula’ (1931). The slides are based on information provided by the exam board and expanded upon where appropriate. I have included several opportunities to apply knowledge to past paper exam questions alongside analysing two key sequences. Alongside the PowerPoint resource I have included the referenced handouts and two documents containing the frames for analysing key sequences. Please note - at this stage this does NOT address any of the comparative element of this section and there is no work on The Lost Boys just yet - that’s to come at some point down the line! A PowerPoint resource that is intended to be taught over the course of roughly 6 lessons, covering every aspect of the specification needed for teaching Winter’s Bone as one of the film texts for Component 1, Section B: American Film Since 2005. This includes examination of key film elements, representation, context and the specialist study areas of spectatorship and ideology.

Designed to cover all the essentials for Component 1, Section A of the GCSE Film Studies Eduqas course case study into ET - the Extra-terrestrial. This resource has 49 slides for E.T. on: -Context -Narrative -Genre -Representation The slides are interspersed with 3 key sequence studies and a range of example exam style questions to give students practice with writing for the different key areas. Please note - this doesn’t address the comparative element of this section but it is designed to go alongside case study work with Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

A collection of theory handouts that I use to supplement the points taught in lesson via PowerPoint. Each handout summarises the main points behind the theory in a way which is designed to be useful for revision at the end of the year.
