There is an emphasis on exposing students to as much poetry as possible in order to improve their ability to read and understand the form. <br /> <br /> There are also suggestions for HL tasks. <br />

Two handy resources that will help students understand Victorian values and attitudes. <br /> <br /> I have used the A3 word document with a top set year 11 class. They were asked to read through the source information and summarise what they have learnt. This was developed by asking students to compare with modern values and attitudes. <br /> <br /> Great for helping with Language Paper 2 and Literature Paper 1- especially if exploring 'A Christmas Carol'. <br /> <br /> The second document can be used as a revision tool for less able students.

A unit of work teaching key skills and processes for Language Paper 1. All extracts and mark schemes are on the PP. <br /> <br /> Can be easily added to and adapted. <br /> <br /> Question 3 requires the class to watch a scene from 'Pan's Labyrinth' however, this could be swapped for another film.
