<p>An ADHD friendly resource to support writing and discussion about young people’s experience of a Dance Bootcamp as an alternative to exclusion/ behaviour management.Uses BBC iPlayer “Sentenced to Dance”. (28 minutes) available till end 2023.</p> <p>READING/WRITING : Using detailed prompts that reference the programme’s content, pupils will create an imaginary interview for each dance participant and write up the interview schedule.</p> <p>DEBATE THE VALUE OF A DANCE BOOTCAMP AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO EXCLUSION: present ideas in writing or speech using support worksheet.</p> <p>ILLUSTRATE :Use illustrations provided to convey ideas about characters by adding speech / thought bubbles / graphics / words/ symbols.</p> <p>The locaction is Rastrick between Huddersfield and Halifax England,UK.</p> <p>Programme is available on the BBC iPLayer for 12 months, till the end of 2023.</p> <p>Focuses on three teens who are sent to a Dance Bootcamp as an ALTERNATIVE TO EXCLUSION.</p> <p>WRITING : resources provided to enable pupils to create a profile or poster about each character in the programme.</p> <p>LISTENING/WATCHING/READING/WRITING: Use the character prompt sheets to write up imaginary interviews with each dance participant. Interview question prompts provided and wordbanks full of character’s thoughts and words.</p> <p>DEBATE : use the debate worksheet to gather ideas about the pros and cons of a Dance Bootcamp as an alternative to exclusion in schools. Suggestions for points and evidence also provided.</p>
