A selection of classic board games that I have adapted for independent use by children to practise or test each other on their 'weekly spelling words&' in a fun and interactive way. I laminate the rules and game boards back to back so they last for a long time. The only other equipment required are counters and spelling words to be written on the spelling cards sheet and then photocopied and cut up for each playing pair
<p>A little something i put together last year for my year 6 class to inform them what Children in Need is actually all about (you would be shocked if you knew how little they actually knew!) It involves the chn carrying out a Children in Need knowledge quiz, watching a video about the people who are helped by Children in Need and then in groups researching different elements of Children in Need before presenting the information to another class, Head Teacher etc It worked a treat last year, with the children really enjoying it, so intend to use it again this year</p>
A collection of colourful punctuation posters that explain the function of each type of punctuation mark and provide examples (colour coded to make it more clear where that punctuation mark is).
The creation of the posters is all my own work, but some definitions or examples have come from the great examples I've found in various places on the internet over the years. I&'ve simply collated the best elements of them and adapted them for the needs of my class.
I use these posters by printing out 2 copies and laminating them back to back to string along my classroom washing line.
<p>This is a set of individual reading records that can be used by Year 2 teachers or support staff throughout the year to build up a bank of evidence to prove their judgements against the Year 2 Teacher Assessment Framework (TAF) for Reading.</p>
<p><em>This resource has been accepted as evidence in previous Year 2 external moderation</em></p>
<p>These reading records cover Pre-key stage 3 to Greater Depth.</p>
<p>They have been written and organised to directly link to the TAF statements.<br />
e.g.<br />
Pre-key stage 3:<br />
Have they read the sounds for 20+ graphemes YES / NO<br />
Highlight any sounds they needed support with.<br />
Have they read accurately by blending the sounds in words with 2 or 3 known graphemes?<br />
Record words read incorrectly / unable to read .</p>
<p>Expected standard:<br />
Have they read accurately most words of two or more syllables? YES / NO. Record words below.<br />
Have they accurately read most words containing common suffixes such as –ment, -ness, -ful, -less, -ly? YES / NO. Record words below. Etc.</p>
A bright and colourful maths bookmark. Print out back to back and laminate for durability.
RUCSAC problem solving method on one side and measurement conversions on the otherside.
A selection of resources that i produced for our recent Year 6 leavers prom.
This year it had the theme of The Oscars. After spending a long time tryiing to find suitable resources, i drew a blank.
I then decided to create my own. This involved the children coming up with a selection of funny award categories to be handed out on prom night.
It also involved the children taking part in a film and movie quiz.
All resources are easily adapotable to suit the users needs
A mental maths warm-up activity. Resource can be photocopied and used or copied into workbooks.
Chn are timed to see how quickly they can complete the muddled up 3x & 6x or 10x é 100x table grid correctly. Resource could then be used again at a later date to see if chn can improve on their previous time.
Template could be used to to create muddled up times tables grids for any multiplications
I designed these reading record sheets for classroom use by any adults that listens to my pupils read on a 1:1 basis in school.
I printed out an assessment sheet for each pupil at the sublevel they were working towards and asked that the adults ask questions based on the 'I can&' assessment focus statements. This evidence is then documented in the table below.
I&';ve found that this document is useful evidence for reading APP.
