This is a walk through construction of the equilateral triangle angry bird. It involves constructing the triangle. Then measuring and drawing the eyes, beak, etc. This is the Angry Birds Star Wars Han Solo character. Now includes a powerpoint version, however the SMART version is superior. This league can be used as an incentive. The students are given an element of competition in completing their homework, or getting the most achievement points in form. This is better than just collecting the points, as it gives each pupil an equal chance to win each week. The competition/football element is also good for closing gender gaps.
This Lesson is designed for a very low ability group to multiply out single brackets. It is designed as a first lesson on the subject, and makes them think about brackets as bags or sacks. It illustrates real life application.
A worksheet I developed for my low ability year 9 to work through multiplicative relationships.

This is to help them as they progress to working with ratio and proportion

This can also be used as homework. And can be used in a flipped classroom environment.

Designed to be used with the small packets of Haribo starmix.

Students use their findings of the contents of the bags to find the experimental probability or relative frequency of each Haribo sweet in the bag. Has been done with Smarties, but i couldn’t find smarties to buy.

The excel sheet enables the full class to enter their findings, so gaining a larger sample size to help discussion.

Designed as a first lesson on rotating shapes. I used Mrbartonmaths's powerpoint as a start for the demonstration, but needed some thoughts of turning 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Plus clockwise and anti clockwise. The worksheets were also found on TES, but I do not remember the author, Sorry.
This is a Smart board lesson that I created to engage students in the angles in parallel lines. It includes Corey Corresponding and Alternate Al as they try to copy the webs of Harry the Spider. It develops the understanding of students and gets them to recognise the shapes of the angles.

The webs can be moved to show that they are identical.
Add subtract multiply divide negative numbers revision lesson. Includes questions. Was used for an intense learning day for low ability year 11 revision.

This resource is designed as a revision resource for GCSE students from Grade 1-4.
