This league can be used as an incentive. The students are given an element of competition in completing their homework, or getting the most achievement points in form. This is better than just collecting the points, as it gives each pupil an equal chance to win each week. The competition/football element is also good for closing gender gaps.

<p>Designed to be used with the small packets of Haribo starmix.</p> <p>Students use their findings of the contents of the bags to find the experimental probability or relative frequency of each Haribo sweet in the bag. Has been done with Smarties, but i couldn’t find smarties to buy.</p> <p>The excel sheet enables the full class to enter their findings, so gaining a larger sample size to help discussion.</p>

Designed as a first lesson on rotating shapes. I used Mrbartonmaths's powerpoint as a start for the demonstration, but needed some thoughts of turning 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Plus clockwise and anti clockwise. The worksheets were also found on TES, but I do not remember the author, Sorry.
