I have copied the new teaching standards into an MS word table, clearly separating the three parts (preamble, part 1 and part 2) and their sub-headings. I have added columns for evidence, date and mentor notes / comments. It can be used as a print out or up dated on your PC.
Included are images to show how to create resources (simple parachutes of different canopy size), a worksheet to record results and a publication by Rolls Royce which inspired me.
I'm a student - feedback appreciated. Please adapt to your needs.
Pop art portraits like Warhol are simple when you know how. Powerpoint with step by step guide from initial photo to popart collage. I used Picasa (free download)
Excuse the wonky picture of me!
This is a set of 12 prompt cards based on traditional tales to aid story re-telling and role play.
Each story has a list of main characters, setting, key objects and 'What went wrong&'.
The text is very brief and should allow re-telling in own words with a small level of scaffolding. I have included a pdf and a word doc so that you can edit away if you would like to.
Please let me know how you get on.
* the giant is missing from Jack and the Beanstalk, sorry!
This is a differentiated worksheet.
Children draw and label 5 stages in the cycle of an apple tree.
For a lower challenge pictures and a word bank are provided.
The title of the template is easily edited in the publisher file for other plants.
Please add a rating or comment - I love a bit of feedback :)
Narration of 'The Commentator&' poem by teenage boy (link to you tube) brings the poem to life and brings extra dimension to the reading the class teacher may not!
Will aid the teaching of unit 37, Grammar for Writing, years 5 and 6: changing tense and meaning with modal and auxiliary verbs.
jpg file has a copy of the poem
Please leave feedback - this was my son&';s first reading of the poem, it's 99% word perfect :)

What causes knife crime? How we can stop it? What is the law around knives?
How can we deal with peer pressure? What can we do to keep ourselves and others safe?
Billy’s Wish Education Programme is free to use, and designed to explore and answer thequestions above.
Billy’s Wish is a charity fighting to stamp out knife crime through education and positive activity - set up by the family and friends of Billy Dove, an innocent victim of knife crime.
Suitable from Year 6 to Year 13, there are 3 ‘zones’. Each has a video commissioned by Billy’s family. They include Billy’s story and personal accounts of the impact of his death - told in increasingly hard hitting ways, with detailed lesson plans and powerpoint presentations.
Each zone is flexible - and can be used in a single session or taught for up to a half term
Zone 1 - Yr 6 includes a printable workbook
Zone 2 - Year 7 upwards
Zone 3 - Year 8 upwards
Additional resources are available to take the discussion further
