This is a really useful 42 slide PowerPoint which gives a step by step approach to the unseen poetry part of the exam. It uses the SMILE technique of approaching poetry which students always find really simple to follow. It includes assessment criteria and mark schemes, worksheets, examples and tasks. It also includes a high grade example. The poems are from a past AQA exam 'To a Daughter Leaving Home' and 'Poem For My Sister'. Easy to follow and very student friendly this has worked well with many of my students and has given them confidence when approaching this tricky part of the exam. Can be used with other exam boards and for poetry analysis in general..
