Language Paper 1: Reading section practice. Power point talks students through each of the questions 1-4, giving them tips, reminding them of the assessment objectives and providing them with feedback. It is also equipped with handy timers that allow them to attempt a response under timed conditions.

This is a 2 hour Walking Talking mock that I created because there was nothing else like this available for the new syllabus. It is designed for Year 10 and 11 students, that could be used to: - Revise in class - Use in a practice exam situation, in a formal setting - Prepare the students for writing in timed conditions - Help the students to feel confident with the skills they are expected to apply, and the expectations of each question The video talks the students through the exam board's general expectations, the assessment objectives involved, and then gives guidance on each question. Before the students attempt each question, the question is discussed, key wording explained, and time limit reminders given. The video includes built-in timers, and indicative content after some of the questions have been completed. Statistically proven to boost students' performance - tried and tested. The paper that the walking talking mock is based upon, is also attached.

This power point is 2 lessons. It is aimed at encouraging the students to improve upon their descriptive or narrative writing skills. The power point focuses their attention on an image, and allows them to consider different perspectives, feelings, situations etc. It also encourages them to practise developing their vocabulary. The outcome could be to write an opening/middle/ending, or to write a full piece.

This is a practice question: 'Jekyll is a victim of Victorian society’s obsession with reputation’. The ppt. allows the students to break down the question and prepare/plan a response carefully before writing. They can then use the model response (a full essay answer) to compare with their own, or to identify the assessment objectives.

This is a 16 -18 lesson scheme of work, dependent upon ability. It has been created to lead up to/prepare the students for a written assessment similar to GCSE. Each lesson is clearly mapped out in the attached prezi, with matching resources to suit a range of learning styles and abilities.

The ppt. is a detailed walkthrough of the AQA 'Parenting and Education' paper (found on their website). It has step-by-step guidance on how to approach each question, with tips for success and some model answers across the ability range 4-9.

All power points include a range of activities to guide students through the poems, with step by step instructions to allow them to engage with themes, ideas and methods used by the poets.
