Where I work, whole school activities like sportdays etc. are organised in 4 house teams. Each team has their own colour and are named after four famous Spanish artists: Fransisco de Goya, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso. I always start the Year 7s off with a ´house artist project´ where they learn about these four artists. I created this powerpoint presentation providing some interesting information about their famous pieces of work: The Third of May 1808, Harlequins Carnival, The Persistence of Memory and La Guernica.

Islamic Geometrical Design Workbook

Working on patterns in class I have created this booklet for a coverlesson when I was out. \nIt informs the students about how geometric patterns are used in Islamic art, has lots of pictures and focusses especially on the Alhambra (palace and fortress in Granada, Spain). With some examples and step-by-step instructions the students learn how to create geometrical designs. \nI have only used this booklet once, so it probably needs reviewing/editing! I printed it in colour, A5, stapled as a booklet.
