A re-written version of Goodnight Mr Tom Chapter 1-4 only. It was used to support lower level readers in English in upper key stage 2. With some images used in the text to aid understanding of some of the vocabulary.

The powerpoint was created according to the Redbridge RE syllubus. It provides 8 lessons (approx.45 mins-1 hour per lesson). The slides covers the following 5 areas in Sikhism: What is a Guru and how are they significant to Sikhism? The Sikhs place of worship. How and why Diwali is celebrated? What is the Khalsa and the 5 K’s? What can we learn from the Sikhs service to the community? The lessons provide opportunities for pupils to also share their own faiths and make comparisons.
