<p>This is a resource I have used a few times, and been graded good or outstanding every time, that allows the students to develop their responses to a picture stimuli (AQA Paper 1: Q5) using given vocabulary.</p>

<p>This resource has a lesson about Dystopian Fiction and some of the political concepts used in dystopia. There is the opportunity for the students to analyse three different dystopian extracts and quotations in slightly different ways. It worked really well with my top set Year 9.</p>

<p>Two lessons designed to analyse Eden Rock by Charles Causley. The first lesson was graded outstanding but the two lessons in sequence enable my students to analyse the poem as an unseen text.</p>

<p>A sequence of lessons to introduce the concept of dystopia but there is a focus on different types of texts, not just literary analysis but also the opportunity to analyse The Obselete Man (A Twilight Zone production). There are resources to help with this process, including an excerpt from The Obselete Man Script.<br /> My top set Year 10 enjoyed mixing up English and Media when I taught this.</p>
