<p>Common words from stage 1 of the NLC phonics/spelling programme in the form of a starter dictionary. I plan to print this into a booklet using the Print-Printer Properties-Document Options-Booklet Layout function. This will use 7 pages and children will get their own dictionary for writing, words not listed can be added to their pages. An alternative is to have the words printed onto card and displayed in the classroom at writing time. Children can then take the appropriate card and ask for additional words to be added. I will also send this home for children if they need help with their common words at home.</p> <p>I have searched for something similar to this for a while but could not find anything linked to the words we teach.
