AQA Poetry Conflict- London by William Blake

(0)
A lesson I planned to teach William Blake's London for the new GCSE AQA specification.

Included, is my powerpoint, an annotated copy of the poem, as well as a handout of Lily Allens Ldn, to get students to start thinking about the poem.

I get lower ability students to copy the notes, primarily so they can see good annotations, but higher achieving students can make their own. Lesson easily adaptable to suit your needs.

Key Stage 3 Writing Assessment Sheet

Nifty little document to cut down on the marking or encourage self and peer assessment.

I have simplified the writing criteria that i look for (structure, vocabulary, use of devices and SPaG) then broken the skill set down to red, amber and green. When marking iI simply have to circle or highlight where i feel students are working at.

This is also great for peer assessment or self- reflection as students are encouraged to identify where they feel they are working well or struggling!!!

Key Stage 3 Reading Mark Sheet

A nifty little mark sheet with criteria for reading. I’ve broken down what is expected when writing your response to a question ( inference, evidence, technique , exploration) so the sheet can be used if you use PETAL, PEEL, PEA…or something else.

Great for quick marking, self-assessment or peer assessment, as the criteria is sorted into Red, Amber or Green. (I highlight/ circle where the students are working at, and encourage students to do the same.)

Great time saver!!!
