I plan to use this PowerPoint at the beginning of singing assemblies every week. Play a variety of music from different periods and genres while the children are arriving and give them a little history about the artists. Please suggest artists I should add to this list. I plan to play music direct from YouTube or Grooveshark to save the need to buy lots of albums.

This is a list of real life reasons for KS2 children to write, away from the classroom. Giving them autonomy to be creative in their writing through a range of different genres. This can be set as homework for all, but I choose to give it to targeted children at parents evening to encourage them to find opportunities for writing more.

Hit the Button is a great, free website for learning and practising number bonds, doubling, halving, multiplication and division facts and square numbers. Use this scorecard to track and challenge.

This presentation contains quotes, clips and information about 39 Sports Legends from various sports all over the world. It’s used in our weekly Cultural Assemblies (along with inspirational children, artists and musicians) to increase our children’s cultural capital.
