Leon and the Place Between, written by Angela McAllister and illustrated by Grahame Baker-Smith, is a fabulous story book which has the potential to inspire writing. I used it when teaching the Stories set in imaginary world literacy unit. These slides highlight and promote the use of personification in writing.
