Lesson instructions: This is a nice introduction to a lesson on the solar system for primary learners of all levels.

Firstly, there is a quiz to test students’ prior knowledge on the solar system.

For the main activity, students will read the clues before seeing the picture of the planet and have to guess the planet’s name. (It is animated, written clue first, then picture appears)

Alternatively, you could print off the slides with the clues, stick them around the classroom and have students move around to complete the task.

All planets are included with interesting facts about each included in the clues. There is a slide for a follow up task where students can write about their favorite planet and why.

There are 20 slides on this ppt.
