This is a great resource to use as a brain break for your class or at the beginning of a phonics lesson. The children are to write the CVC word they see, they can check it against the answer and then they are asked to change one letter and use their decoding skills to read the new word.

I have created a double lesson setting resource. This includes the powerpoint at the beginning of both lessons and the worksheet used in lesson one. Lesson 2 does not need a worksheet as children are asked to draw a setting in their jotter and write about it.
