Problem solving scenario, designed to generate discussion and debate, requiring students to negotiate. Designed also to cover Asdan Bronze Award 12C5 (Beliefs and Values)
This is an Asdan mapping spreadsheet for the Asdan Bronze Award challenges.
It maps the challenges into programmes of study for PSHE and assessment focuses for English (Reading, Writing, S&L), Maths and ICT.
It is not complete, as I have only done it for the challenges/modules that I am currently delivering, but it can be added to!
This is an activity which I use to get to know pupils. The idea is that they have to identify life events which have been significant to them. It can provide a tool to discussion about what is important to different people and how our response to life events can shape us.
This is a few resources including a starter activity (type of person sheet) and some prompt sheets to fulfil some of the criteria, (specifically 1.3 and 2.1). (You will need to use the 'selection of volunteering case studies' sheet alongside 2.1 skills and qualities).
First sheet asks pupils what they feel they need to learn about (related to end of KS3 statements) and is best done as an ending to a previous topic.
Plan and Deliver sheet, is a guidance sheet for pupils to create and deliver their own PSHE lesson based on their own learning needs from the previous sheet.
It does require the teacher to be organised in advance with website links and resources for topics the pupils are interested in.
