This booklet of summer activities for English is aimed at KS3 pupils. it is designed to inspire them to read, write and complete some grammatical exercises over the summer break. Activities include; analysing your summer soundtrack, completing a trip advisor review - with model extracts, writing a hilarious holiday anecdote, creating a collage and grammatical exercises. I intend to print the booklet and issue it to KS3 pupils before the summer break. You could add an incentive to encourage pupils to complete the work.

This ppt and resource pack will support pupils to create their own revision document using images, ideas, vocabulary list, themes and key quotes. It reminds pupils of the key assessment objectives on the English Literature exam. I intend to issue pupils with the resource packs, glue, creative materials and 1.5m of lining paper for each pupil to create a visual revision resource to take home.

The file with the worksheet also includes intervention support for pupils for each assessment objective. Simply cut up these sections and allow pupils to self-select their support for personalised differentiation. This particular lesson uses the initial description of Scrooge.
