1/2 lesson murder mystery. Works best in small groups. Children work together to answer maths riddles and find out clues on who the murderer is.

Part of inspirational people topic. I used this lesson as part of a year 4/5 mixed lesson. The children really enjoyed it, and they especially enjoyed the hot seating at the end!
