This power point is designed to be added to and can be adapted to create discussion or writing tasks. It uses a ground breaking if not dated documentary from the USA in the 70's to challenge students own stereotypical attitudes. This should generate discussion in any classroom.

This lesson has a card sort on the causes and consequences of Prohibition. I used a past paper and mark scheme for the second part of the lesson. There are loads to pick from. Two sorting processes then answer a question. Be strict on timing and this works very well.
