Aim: To cover the Dark Ages before 1066 - phew! Video links within the PowerPoint.

A PowerPoint and video clip that formed part of a 2 hour session/discussion on leadership for Middle Leaders in Schools. An in-house INSET session that relied heavily on interaction and lively discussion. It should be self-explanatory but, if nothing else, some of the slides could be a useful starting point for CPD leaders who run such training sessions for staff. Video clip, for the plenary re 'analogue time', has also been included.

Reworked some TES resources. Role played this in an ICT room with every monitor having the PowerPoint on the screen at the same time to 'set the scene' as pupils performed in the 'round'. PowerPoint e-mailed home for pupils to use for their newspaper report. Links to YouTube via PowerPoint.

The diagram needs to be cut up into a puzzle and then pieced together by pupils. Scope for role play re visual representation of the 'Roman pyramid' of society. Ideas amended form TES and re worked.
