An introduction to Antarctica through the eyes of Captain Scott. Pupils find out about the climate, where it is and the challenges Scott faced. Pupils have to complete a timeline sort and the write a diary entry from a point along the timeline. Some of the PowerPoint has been adpated from other resources found on TES.
In light of the recent EU voting, I decided to make a lesson on migration in the UK and politics. Pupils should look at the key statistics first before completing the carousel activity (print out the PPT slides) on the 4 chosen political parties. They can then vote for their party of choice giving a reasoned explanation why they chose that party. I have tried to make it not in favour of any one party and used information provided by those political parties through their speakers and webpages.

First lesson from a SOW about geography and adventure, pupils are looking at areas for adventure and thinking about what an adventurer is like. Ideally for year 7 classes. See other resources for other lessons.
Lesson on Ed Stafford as part of a geography and adventure scheme of work. Print out the game, pupils have to make there way from the source to the mouth of the river.
Pupils are finding out about 5 more adventures of Alastair's. Pupils teach each other about the journeys using the cards which are printed from the PowerPoint.
<p>This is a lesson which I have slotted into my globalisation SOW, but it could just be taught as a one off lesson.<br />
It is planned to last 100 minutes.<br />
All statistics are correct up until 2nd Jan 2020. Any feedback is much appreciated.</p>
