To introduce the events of WW1 and the effects it had on the soldiers through the poems of that period. It will allow pupils to explore the different poets of the War and to understand the types of calamity they went through. It covers the life in the trenches and helps to explore the events of the Great War.

To explore how castles were attacked and defended in the middle ages. A range of activities to explore the different methods used to attack and defend castles with various visual aids to suit different abilities.

This lesson is for the new KS4 history GCSE 9-1 , mainly following the edexcel specification requirement. It covers medicine through time scheme of work which higlights ideas and treatmentS of illness in midevil England. Differentiated worksheet for low ability is availaible within the lesson. KWL sheet for pupils to record what they know and what they have learned is also included within the lesson.

Tha aim of the lesson is to help pupils identify different ideas about the cause of disease and illness in Medieval England and to explain the different ideas and approaches to prevention and treatment of illnesses in Medieval England The lesson also helps pupils to attempt a GCSE question on causes and preventions of disease and illness in Medieval England. The activities are differentiated according to pupils ability (differentiated work sheet) and is supported with video clip from Youtube to ensure visual and audiotory learning.

This is an outstanding lesson as classified by my PM observers. This lesson covers the journey of slaves from Africa to America. It allowes pupils to become specialist in one area and teach others within their class about that specfic aspect. Specific enquiry question is designed with different abilities in mind. A clear questioning starter that hook pupils in to the lesson with a refelctive plenary. It gives pupils the ability to develop their communication skills and to refelct on what they did during the lesson.

Learning Objective: How did Hitler Challenge & Exploit the Treaty of Versailles 1933 to March 1938? Sucess Criteria: I will recall key facts about Hitler. I will use sources to explain Hitler’s main aims I will assess Hitler’s Foreign policy according to his aims. Work/activities are differentiated based on pupils predicted grade and expected targets. The activities are colour coded for groups/pupils to know what they should do. Starter is designed to hook pupils in to the lesson and to establish prior knowledge.
