<p><strong>Creative Writing / Flash Fiction - Writing 100-word stories</strong></p> <p>Firstly, students explore a six-word story (Hemingway) to create a narrative.</p> <p>They then look at two sample 100 word stories, analysing the use of language/structure to create meaning through questions/FLASH marking/annotation.</p> <p>Following this, they use one of the images provided to plan their vocabulary/techniques to help them with writing their own stories. FLASH codes are provided for students for feedback/improvement. Sentence starters are provided.</p> <p>Finally, students peer assess their work and then edit accordingly.</p> <p>This Unit of Work could easily stretch over 2/3 lessons.</p>
