Also included is a PPT which explains some different types of retrieval questions that may appear in a KS2 SATs reading paper (the question types included are different to that explained in Lesson 1). An investigation based on the germination process aimed at Year 5 students. This lesson is focused on developing children’s scientific enquiry skills and to allow them to work and think scientifically by planning an investigation on the conditions needed for germination to take place. This lesson also includes a lower ability (LA) planning worksheet and a middle ability planning worksheet. The LA worksheet has been designed to reduce the barrier of writing. Children using this sheet can draw images in the spaces provided if needed.
