Two lessons exploring the opening of the novel with a focus on how characters and themes are introduced through Bronte’s use of language, form and structure. Created for the new 9-1 GCSE specifications.

Created for revision of the Edexcel Conflict poetry. Students to identify the poem - could use as a quick knowledge test in two minutes as a competition. Students then take three colours and analyse an aspect of language, structure and make a contextual link to revise the key skills. Extension task - make links between the poems.
