KS2 Writing Progression for Assessment

(0)
NOTES FOR TEACHERS Stages of writing progress that tracks written skills in fiction, including phonics, vocabulary, grammar, composition, handwriting and punctuation. It can be used to track progress for children learning English as a foreign language or with some small adjustments for all pupils in KS2. A bank of skills which can also be used as targets for the next steps in their learning. Written after the end of National Curriculum levels to form part of our new progress and assessment in school. We decided to focus on tracking fiction as non-fiction wasn’t able to reflect the range of skills we felt we needed to track. If you would like the first part of this progression tracker you can find the KS1 development over on TES shop ClassBerry.
