Use this to assess pupils ability to multply and divide fractions. This extends pupils by letting them create their own questions to complete the code. The code reads 'my maths teacher is' and I let them fill in the blank. I was a bit unsure the first time I tried this, but it turns out the kids are nicer than you think!

Looking at how best to fit an object within a given space. A logical problem that pupils find difficult to translate into mathematical language. I find it helpful to give the pupils something physical to play about with. It also touches on how to fit cuboids within cuboids.
