<p><strong>Spot the differences</strong> in this photo of a Banksy artwork, created as part of his ‘Spraycation’ series 2021. Two Powerpoint slides, great to use as a starter in an Art lesson on Banksy or Street art. Use the slides to help develop observation skills. Encourage students to use specific language in their descriptions of where the differences are: e.g foreground, background, midground etc.</p>
A venn diagram comparison activity to stimulate close observation and discussion of Propaganda during the 2WW. This example shows how the leaders of the Axis and Allied forces were presented. Students are encouraged to use subject specific vocabulary listed on the reverse of the A3 format.<br />

Main focus is on Banksy and his anti war art. Skills focus is on creating a stencil. Powerpoint has links to harrowing film clip of Kim Phuc 'the burning girl' from a Napalm attack in Vietnam. Also has link to 'who is the girl in the picture?', telling her story, in her own words.<br />
Stencil to be created is based on imagery of Mickey Mouse.<br />

A very successful lesson, judged 'outstanding', based on learning the techniques of block or relief printing. Includes Health and safety guidelines. Artists referenced include Picasso and Munch.<br />
As a teacher of students with C&I difficulties I emphasise any new and subject specific language.
Enough for 2/3 lessons. History of the colour wheel, primary, secondary and tertiary colours. Then moves on to hot and cold colours with examples of their use by Van Gogh and Monet. PP has some notes too.<br />

<p>PP has link to a dreamtime story on youtube from Cloudskipperdreaming. Then retells the story in simple language. Students are encouraged to retell the story using the simple dot images, and pictures of real life Womabts, Kangaroos. Great for a cover lesson where subject specialist is absent, or to encourage writing in Art.</p>

<p>A good “how to” Monoprint lesson. PP gives good examples from some famous artists and encourages questioning. e.g. How can you tell if you have used too much ink? If you have used too much ink, what can you do about it? Task board at the end clearly states activities and learning points.</p>
