This resource was written to support preparation for the GCSE French Pearson Edexcel Speaking examination. It can be given as an independent revision resource or can be incorporated into classroom use using the published examination materials. The resource includes a 2 page knowledge organiser covering all 10 roleplay scenarios for both tiers and flashcards that can be printed double sided to support learning of key phrases for the role play exam. I have no link to the Pearson Edexcel exam board and have written the resource based on my interpretation of the specification, mark scheme, published assessment materials and published exemplified assessment materials. This was written by myself drawing on 25+ years experience in the classroom without the use of AI technologies to create bank phrases etc. Ideas for use: • Knowledge organiser to support working with and preparing roleplays from the assessment materials available • Print the flashcards double sided (coloured paper is best!) for independent revision, RAG rating, testing in pairs etc • Print the flashcards single sided (again used coloured paper so you can’t read through it!) and play matching pairs text side up, matching pairs text side down or have 2 sets and students race each other to match them

This resource is designed as a revision tool for GCSE French speaking and writing. It is suitable for both AQA & Edexcel. It is designed to be printed A3 size. You will find the question sheet, blank answer sheet and solutions sheet. It is designed as a revision resource and could be used independently, as a timed classwork task or for a cover lesson. Pupils can self assess or peer assess or it could be teacher marked as an assessment to spot knowledge gaps. It could be used daily, weekly or completed in one session. Once gaps in knowledge are highlighted, flashcards could be made to revise those key phrases.
